ASSETS School ASSETS operates a school for children who are gifted and/or who have learning disabilities and other learning problems, ages 4-18. Hau'oli Na' Keiki Program Offers a day treatment and after-school program to children 3-20 who are diagnosed with Autism-Specific Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorder or mental retardation. HeadStart Provides federally funded comprehensive early education programs for low-income children, between the ages of 3-5, including children with disabilities. Horizons Academy of Maui Inc. Provides a school for K-10 students with quality, individualized experiential education honoring the talents of students with learning diversities, allowing them to excel in school and acquire life skills for their future. Also provides deaf and hard of hearing children grades 6-12 an educational program with ASL (American Sign Language) instruction as well as integration into regular classroom settings. Kula Kokua (Salvation Army) Offers a day treatment program for children, ages 3-9, with emotional/behavioral problems, who have been referred by the Department of Education. Pacific Autism Center Provides an inclusion school for preschoolers ages 3 to 6 and an Elementary Learning Center for children from 6 - 13 years who need intensive instruction and are unable to integrate into a mainstream classroon. In addition, they have a contract with the Department of Health to provide IBS services for the 0-3 population. Scottish Rite Children's
Center Provides an intensive speech
therapy program for children, ages 3 to 6 years, whose primary
disability is a speech and/or language delay. Provides education and training
for children, ages 5 to 13, who have a learning disability, developmental
and/or social delays. Also offers an after school enrichment
