Access Center (Aloha STAC) Provides information and demonstrations of various assistive technology devices. Operates a lending library of software and hardward. Special Parent Information Network Offers parents of children/young adults with special needs parent-to-parent information, referral and support. Services include a parent "warm" line, a quarterly newsletter, website, informational workshops and annual statewide conference. Centers of Hawaii Provides information and referral regarding assistive technology and where to purchase devices. Has a loan library of devices for individuals with disabilities. Offers training and equipment demonstration related to assistive devices for consumers and their families, service providers and members of the community. Hawaii Keiki Information
Service System (H-KISS) Provides information and referral for children 0-21. Links children birth to three with special needs or at risk for delays and their families to early intervention services. Hawaii Branch of the International
Dyslexia Association Provides information and referral to on dyslexia. Publishes a newsletter. Sponsors a Speaker's Bureau for community presentations. Hilopa'a Family to Family Health Information Center Provides information, referral, consultation and training to families of children and youth with special health care needs and their professional partners. Parent Line Provides support, encouragement and information on parenting by helping callers to problem solve their particular concerns over the phone and mailing parenting and community resource information on request. Real Choices Provides an internet-based information system designed to help residents with disabilities and long-term care needs. The website provides information about existing services and state, private and federal assistance programs such as Medicaid and Medicare. The Access Line Provides information and referral services to help manage youth whose immediate health and safety may be in jeopardy due to a mental health issue. The hotline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
